Wheat Milk Halwa,गन्दुम हलवा, Gandum Halwa,tirunelveli halwa, godhumai halwa,godhi halwa, Iruttu Kadai Halwa, gothambu halwa<br /><br />Ingredients for Wheat halwa<br />Soaked Wheat (भीगे हुए गेहूं ) - 1/2 cup (100 gms) <br />Ghee (घी ) - 3/4 cup (150 gms) <br />Sugar (चीनी ) - More than 1 cup (250 gms)<br />Cahsew (काजू ) - 1/3 cup (finely chopped) <br />Green Cardamom (इलाइची ) - 5 to 6 (coarsely ground)<br /><br />How to make Wheat Halwa. <br />1. Soak cleaned wheat in a bowl of water for 12 hours. <br />2. When soaked, put in mixer jar, add some water and grind to a fine paste.<br />3. Put the paste in a strainer, and strain it well.Put the leftover wheat back in jar, add water grind and strain again. <br />4. Add ghee to pan to heat, add chopped cashews. Slightly roast them and stir regularly. Keep flame medium. Once aromatic and puffy take out in plate.<br />5. Heat wok add ghee add sugar. Stir and cook until it completely melts. Keep flame high. <br />6. Once sugar has caramalised and is golden then turn off flame.<br />7. Slightly cover the wok and add water to the sugar. Stir it well and cook till sugar dissolves. <br />8. Turn on flame. Add wheat milk to it. Reduce flame. Stir and mix it continuously. Keep flame medium. Stir till dense. <br />9. Add ghee and cook till it absorbs the ghee. Then add chopped cashews, also add green cardamom powder. Mix well. <br /><br />Serving : <br />10. Mouth Drooling Wheat Halwa is ready, Take it out in a bowl.Garnish halwa with some cashews.
